Sefi Atta, Award winning, transnational author of Everything Good Will Come (2005) and Swallow (2008); Lawless, A Collection of Short Stories (2008). News from home 2009 Some of her short stories have also appeared in the Los Angeles Review and Mississippi Review, and her radio plays have been broadcast by the BBC.Her awards include: Noma Award for publishing in Africa (2009) Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature (2006) ; PEN International David TK Wong Prize (2005) Short Fiction. She is on the jury of numerous Literary Award panels such as the 2010 Neustadt International Prize for Literature.

Muhammad Affifi Matar
A leading figure in Arabic literature as an activist and as a proponent for indigenous Egyptian traditions, he is the author of numerous books of poetry, essays, and tales for children. He also has published translations and journalistic articles. Among his awards are: Egyptian State Prize for Poetry, Al Owais Award of the United Arab Emirates, Kavafi Prize of Athens, University of Arkansas Press Award for Arabic Literature in Translation, and a commemorative volume for his seventieth birthday.
