This event concludes our Teacher Summer Institute session.
We will celebrate Africa with performances from "The Traditional Music Society" lead by Artist Bird Fleming
The Traditional Music Society:
The TMS devotes its performances to multi-cultural arts education to schools and to the general public. The music and dance is Africa oriented with introductions about African history and dances that reflect the Great Mali Kingdom and Inter-continental trade. Dances also reflect the cultural life of villages in Africa such as: arrival of guests, naming ceremonies, harvest time, and praise songs.
There is a lot to learn and to enjoy!
